This was a great test for the Therma Vent because if you notice this is the same has as the 2 test case. That’s because this house had no ventilation at all and we installed the Therma Vent system on it and replaced the black Asphalt 
Shingle roof with a new Black Asphalt Shingle roof. That’s right there is nothing special about the roof itself, the only thing we change was what was under it by installing the Therma Vent system. We were able to take some great Readings on this house. To recap about the 2 Test Case which is this house pre Therma Vent, the outside air temperature was 96 degrees and inside the attic was 150 degrees at the peak, and inside the house the sheet rock in the ceiling was reading 88 degrees. Once we installed the Therma Vent system with the new Asphalt Shingles roof we waited until another 96 degree day and read the temperature and we really did not believe what we read by two different thermometers throughout the same day, it read 103 degrees in the peak of the attic. That is only an 8 degree difference from the outside 
temperature to the hottest part of the attic. This out performs our model that has the Therma Vent and shingles. We believe that because the volume of air that is in a given attic that it is larger than the volume of air in our models, so the statistics for our Therma Vent models are a few degrees hotter what is actually what we find in the field with installs that we are done. In fact on all the field tests that we have done, we find that 103 degrees seems to be the magic number and that the base temperature with Therma Vent installs is normally the same or close to the same as the outside air temperature.
